There are “just” six current certification you can gain in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Here I describe each of them;
- MB2 704 – Microsoft Dynamics CRM Application
- MB2 705 – Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations
- MB2 706 – Microsoft Dynamic CRM Online Deployment
- MB2 707 – Microsoft Dynamics CRM Customization and Configuration
- MB2 708 – Microsoft Dynamics CRM installation
- MB2 709 – Microsoft Dynamics Marketing
All of the exams are multiple choice and current cost £99 (+ VAT).
They can be scheduled with PearsonVue via the Microsoft learning website.
You can sit all exams at a local test centre or now also online.
Note: The MB2 701 Exam, extending Microsoft Dynamics has not been released as a specific exam for CRM 2015.
MB2 704 – Microsoft Dynamics CRM Application

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Applications certification is one exam all CRM professionals should consider taking, it covers the functionality of the CRM application. Including
- Sales management concepts
- Management of leads and opportunities
- The sales process
- Analysis and reporting of sales
- Service Management
- Manging service cases
- Management of contracts and entitlements
- Service scheduling
- Analysis and reporting of service management
As you can probably see the scope of this certification is quite wide but it has a focus on sales and service within CRM. Notice that marketing is not covered.
MB2 705 – Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations

The managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations exam covers the project management of Dynamics implementations. The skills measured include;

- Describe project management disciplines
- User waterfall delivery
- Use agile delivery

MB2 706 – Microsoft Dynamic CRM Online Deployment

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Deployment covers all aspects of deploying CRM 2015 in an on line environment. At least that is the theory! If you review the skills measured you will notice that it overlaps the MB2 708 exam in several areas and touches on subjects beyond simply deploying online.
This exam is useful for anyone who plan to deploy or upgrade CRM online solutions. The skills measured include;
- Administering Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Administering Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online
- Upgrade Microsoft Dynamics CRM and redeploy
- Configure and manage emails
- Install and deploy other client tools for Microsoft Dynamics CRM (includes Outlook client, mobile apps etc.)
