Here is a quick video which shows how to create a word template in CRM 2016, hopefully it will be useful for anyone who is using this feature for the first time.
Word templates are a very useful feature but there are some limitations, including;
- You can only display data for entities directly related to the primary entity.
- When displaying related data in a table, you can not filter the results.
- When displaying related data in a table, the sort order is not configurable.
