USD – How to install a CRM2015 version of USD.

Unified Service Desk (USD) is a great product but it can be tricky to install and migrate from organisation to organisation. I have written a collection of posts on this subject and thought it might be useful to group them together as a collection.

How to install / Deploy USD – with CRM2015
System Requirements. – This post describes your system requirements for server and clients.

Installing the sample USD packages. – This post describes how to use the USD package deployment tool to install one of the sample packages provided by Microsoft. (A good start point!)

Installing USD on the client. – This post describes how to install the USD client.

Install a blank / clean USD copy. – This post describes the process for installing USD as a blank install. Something you’ll need when you start more serious development. (As you’ll want to start with a clean sheet of paper!)

Deploying USD – This post describes how to export a USD configuration and import into another organisation.

Also note:

These instructions are for CRM2015. With CRM2016 Microsoft have created a new installer and new approaches to deployment. I will cover these in a future post.
